The CTV program was started collaboratively by Mrs. Nagamani Gollakota, Mrs. Subbalakshmi Manchella, and Mr. Lakshman Prasad Alluri OAM in a small way in May 1996 and was broadcast from a small community radio station at the Serbian Club Mawson, close to the Mawson Temple. The program was broadcast every Tuesday between 6.00 and 7.00 pm, which was heard widely by Telugu-speaking background communities from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Fiji, South Africa, and Mauritius. The broadcast moved to '2XX 98.3 FM People Powered Radio' Community Broadcasting services in 1998. Since then, the broadcast has been going on with the volunteer support of Mr Rao Adiraju, Mr Samba Murthy Manchella, Mrs Subbalakshmi Manchella, Mr Srinivas Prasad, Mr Raj Dacha, and other community members. Mr Rao Adiraju has been shouldering the roster of the Radio program since the station moved to civic and continues as broadcasting scheduler and Treasurer of CTVS. On behalf of the community, we appreciate his and other community members' support and services.
CTVS Inc programs include local news, information on ACT/Queanbeyan local community activities, information on ACT Govt announcements and Multicultural festival activities, news highlights of the week from states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, organise artists visits from interstate and overseas, provide information to new migrants to Canberra on the community activities, jointly work with other community groups to progress the richness of the Telugu Culture in the multicultural community of Canberra ACT/Queanbeyan NSW regions.
